... I can see these emergency lights from my driveway. And I turn onto one of the said streets to get home. And I can post this only because my blog is private. I can't believe Ashley had to call me and tell me about it. Apparently I've been in Lala Land all night.
*Concerns about my neighborhood or us needing to move are not necessary. That's not what I was implying or suggesting with this post. This type of thing can happen anywhere. I mean, Darlie Routier slaughtered her own children in a giant, expensive home in a giant, expensive neighborhood. Crazies are everywhere.

Holy Crap girl. Sadly if it happened in my area I may not know either. I dont talk to my neighbors, maybe I should. Glad nothing happened to you guys.
Yikes! Nothing like a little drama in the neighborhood to keep your hair standing on end....we had a lovely shootout just a few blocks away not to long ago...ah memories.
Oh man oh man....at least you know he's barracaded INSIDE his house, right?! Not runnin' around the neighborhood....see, there's a bright side to everything!
So, what's the lowdown? How close is he to you? And, more importantly did Bryce get home safely?
The article says they sent in a tactical robot at 8:45 and he was escorted out around 9 something. That was it. Bryce got home okay, they had only really blocked off Glenhaven.
Yipes! That is crazy woman! Ya'll need to move, but I do have to agree that at least he was IN his house not running through your backyard!
Glad you guys are safe! Ok, so I just had deja vu...or something. I think I've been over to your place once with Kimberly Jones. Wasn't I your visiting teacher at some point?! Why didn't I remember this before???
Wow that's insane!! I mean there's a school right there, that guy is an idiot (stating the obvious I know). And sadly if something like that had happened close to us I would have wanted to go watch what was happening! Good on Ashley for tipping you off for sure! That's what sisters are for, right?
Yes, Mubeen, you were my VT for about five minutes before ya'll moved. You came once with Kimberly. And Missy, I totally wanted to go watch!
Geez...I was just kidding! Obviously this kind of stuff happens everywere, I just learned that the Amber of the "amber alert" was found in this neighborhood after her abduction 10 years ago. That is wild...
Yes, ironically enough, that very Amber lived in my neighborhood.
And Amber was found in the creek behind your apartment complex, Shannon!
When we lived in Arlington, we used to live in the apartment complex that had the creek behind it where she was found. That's why they turned that community into a gated community.
I totally agree with Kelli...there are crazies everywhere...
True, True - it can happen anywhere. It's always amazing when you have a "freak show" to watch just out your window.
by freak show I mean lights, cameras and action :)
here's a nice little ditty for you... we just moved into a neighborhood where the buffalo bike path rapist lived. i'm sure glad he's in jail and not in my neighborhood, 'course, there's probably still one living around here somewhere.
